• Drama Club Auditions for “Princess Whatsername” - Characters with Solo/Duet Roles

  Tuesday November 7th, 2017, 3pm — 4.30pm

  Try-outs  for this year‘s musical, “Princess Whatsername” will take place on Tuesday, November 7th for students in 5th-8th Grades. Students interested in a character with a solo/duet role should attend this first try-out. If you are interested in support characters or minor ensemble roles, please attend the second try-out on Novemver 14th from 3-4.30pm.

  To sign up for tryouts, please pick up a Drama Club infomational packet  from the school office by Friday, November 3rd. Packets will be available starting on Wednesday, November 1st.

• SJS School Choir sings at Estuary Council of Seniors, Old Saybrook

  At The Estuary Council of Seniors in Old Saybrook the SJS School Choir will be singing a medley of songs and playing instruments for the Saint John School Veteran's Day program.

• Robotics Club Qualifying Tournament

  Saturday November 11th, 2017

  The St. John School "H2 Woah" team will travel to Old Lyme to compete in a FIRST Lego League Qualifying Tournament.  For more information about our club click here.

• Last Day for SJS 1/4 Zip Orders

  Friday November 17th, 2017

  St John School is proud to announce again for the 2nd year that last year's addition to the uniform  – the ¼ zip will be on sale again. This maroon, cotton, fleece lined ¼ zip with SJS logo has been approved by Mother Elaine to be worn by PreK3-Grade 8 in addition to the sweater/vest/cardigan at school and at Mass. It is also available to order in Adult Sizes for parents, teachers, grandparents, friends etc. It would make a great Christmas gift!    

  ¼ zips are available in kids sizes (xxs-xl) and adults sizes (s-xxxl) and priced at $27 for kids and $30 for adults. Forms are available in the SJS office or in Weds envelope on September 26th. Orders will be taken from Sept 27th - Oct 5th in the office or in the school lobby on the following days where samples will be available to try on :

  Friday, Sept 28^th (2.30pm-3.30pm)

  Weds, Oct 3rd (8.30am-9am)

  Proceeds from sales go towards the 8th Grade. Thank you for your support!
