• Knights of Columbus Free Throw Basketball Championship

  Sunday February 2nd, 2020, 10.30am

  Location: SJS Gymnasium

  The local competition for the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Basketball Championship, sponsored by our local Old Saybrook Council 2968 will be held on Saturday, February 2nd at SJS gym at 10.30am. Boys and girls ages 9-14 are invited to participate.

  PLEASE NOTE: Participants are required to furnish proof of age at registration and written parental consent.

  Registration: 10.30am

  Competition Start: 11am (competition will be complete by 1pm)

  Local winners will compete at the district level immediately afterwards. Winners will advance to the Regional Competition which will take place at a venue to be determined.

  Open to the public - no cost to enter.

• Old Saybrook Chili Fest

  Saturday February 29th, 2020, 12:00pm — 3:00pm

  Saint John School "Holy Smokes" Chili will be entered into the Old Saybrook Chamber of Commerce Chili Fest.  Join in the fun and vote for your favorite..hint, hint...  Join us to taste, vote, or volunteer! 

  The 24th Annual Chili Fest will draw chefs from near and far!   Chefs set up their booths up and down Main Street as hundreds of brave Chili-tasters purchase ballots and vote for their favorite Chili.  This year over 30 chefs will compete, rain, snow or shine.   The top three winning chilis will be honored with a donation to the charity of their choice.  

  Ballots can be purchased for $10 each at any of the 6 Ballot Selling Stations along Main Street and at the Chamber Office.   A minimum of 10 chilis must be tasted for your vote to be valid.
