D.A.R.E. envisions a world in which students everywhere are empowered to respect others and choose to lead lives free from violence, substance use, and other dangerous behaviors.
On May 21, SJS 5th graders visited the Old Saybrook Police station to complete the D.A.R.E program with a graduation ceremony. Students wrote essays on what they learned throughout the year. Two essays were selected to be read at the ceremony.
Congratulations to Colleen and Joseph for their essays! And many thanks to the Old Saybrook Police Department, especially Sergeant Walsh for managing the D.A.R.E program at SJS.
