Kindergarten -  Miss Devenney A

 About Your Teacher:

Hi my name is Miss Judith Devenney, I am excited to be joining the Saint John School this year in the kindergarten classroom! I have been working in education for over 12 years in preschool and kindergarten. This will be my first year being the teacher and I am ready to get the year started. I have earned my bachelors in early childhood education and am working towards my masters degree at Southern Connecticut University.

My philosophy of education is that I will create a fun and caring environment for the students to learn in. I know that children learn at their own pace and here in our class I will let my students learn and grow where they need to be. Our small class sizes give ample opportunities for me to know my students and help them on an individual basis. I am more than ready to teach reading, writing, religion, and math to all the kindergarten students that come to my class.

In my time outside of the classroom I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also spend time with my dog taking him for walks and enjoying the Lord’s creation. I love going on adventures with my nieces and nephews. I grew up in Connecticut and lived here the majority of my life. I am ready to start this new school year!
