2024 Luxury Raffle for Saint John School
A big thank you to ALL participants, and the many volunteers who helped make this raffle a success! If you were unable to buy a ticket this year, please consider emailing luxuryraffle@saintjohnschoolos.org and request for your email and/or address to be added to our email/mailing list to be notified of next year's raffle.
All profits from this raffle helps with the school's operational expenses for the 2024-2025 school year. Last year's profits went to improving middle school classrooms and washroom facilities.
To commemorate the raffle drawing on December 6th, 2024, the Saint John School community and Knights of Columbus are hosting a pasta dinner. The dinner will start at 5:00 pm in the School's gymnasium. All are welcome! No RSVP needed.
The raffle drawing will take place at 7:00 pm. You do not need to be present to win. If winners are not present, they will be notified by the contact information provided on the pulled raffle ticket stub.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) Q: Can tickets be in the name of two or more people? A: No, it can only be one per individual ticket. If an order is submitted with two names, the ticket processer will select the first name listed on the payment slip. If unable to determine a single name, the ticket processer will contact the purchaser to confirm which name will be placed on the individual ticket(s). |
Q: I am buying multuple tickets for multiple people online. Will all the tickets be mailed to me? A: No, tickets are mailed out to the name and address provided for each ticket. If there are tickets purchased for multiple people residing at the same address, the ticket stubs will be mailed together in one envelope. If you buy a ticket online with someone else's name and address and wish to receive the ticket to gift to them yourself, please email the raffle committee at luxuryraffle@saintjohnschoolos.org to let us know. We will accommodate where we can, when we can. |
Q: When I pay by credit card online, how long will it take to receive my tickets? A: Online orders will be processed within 2 weeks. We understand this may feel like a long wait for your tickets. We will do everything we can to get your tickets to you as soon as possible after payment is received. If you have not received your tickets after 2 weeks, please contact us at luxuryraffle@saintjohnschoolos.org with your name, date of purchase (if you remember it) and the amount of tickets purchased. |
Q: Why am I using St. Pio's website to purchase these tickets online? I thought this raffle is to benefit Saint John School? A: St. John School is supported by St. Pio Parish, which is a catholic community of both St. John Church in Old Saybrook, CT and St. Mark Church in Westbrook, CT. |
Q. Are there any transaction fees if I pay with my credit card? A: No. The luxury raffle assumes these costs as part of its operating budget to encourage online purchases as a primary choice. |
Q: When I pay by personal check through the mail, how long can it take to receive my purchased tickets? A: Personal checks received by mail can take up to 4 weeks to be processed. This is due to the time needed to process the check with our bank prior to mailing out your tickets. Please be patient and email us at luxuryraffle@saintjohnschoolos.org to receive a status on your order. |
Q: If I pay by check and my bank account has insufficent funds, what will happen to my raffle ticket(s)? A: The Raffle Committee will make every attempt to contact you to resolve the deficient payment. If payment cannot be resolved, the Raffie Committee will remove the assigned ticket(s) from the raffle drawing. |
Q: Where can I purchase a ticket(s) directly or in-person? A: At the Rectory during office hours (M:9-12, Tu-F: 9-12 and 12:30-3pm), or after Sunday mass at Saint John's Church. We are also attempting to have volunteers sell tickets at nearby parishes. If your parish would like for tickets to be sold outside a mass or event, please email us at luxuryraffle@saintjohnschoolos.org |
Q: Will winners need to be present at the drawing to win? A: No, Winners will be notified by the contact information listed on the ticket if not in attendance at the drawing. |
Q: Can the winner take cash value of the prize rather than the prize itself? A: No, the winner must take the prize in form described on the ticket. |
Q: Does the winner have to be 18 years of age or older to purchase a ticket? A: Yes, you must be at least 18 years to purchase a ticket. |
Q. How long do I have to make an online purchase? What about a mail-in purchase? A: Online purchases are no longer being accepted as of October 29th at 10:30am. For those who made a purchase online before this date/time, you will receive your ticket stubs in the mail in a few days. If mailing in an order for tickets, the Raffle Office must receive your payments no later than November 8th (postmark date). If we sell out before November 8th, your check/money order will be returned ASAP with our sincerest appreciaton. |
Q. What is the best way to speak to someone on the Raffle Committee? A: Email is the best means to reach the Raffle Committee. We are a small but mighty team and will do our best to respond in a timely manner. |
