Each semester, we hold a few after school activities, such as Soccer Shots and STEM club, that vary throughout the year. They are normally split by age group, so the information and activities will be better suited to their ages. Schola is held all year long after school, and Drama is held for a few months from late-fall to early-spring. Flyers will be sent home and information will be in the weekly letter about upcoming events. The after school Waiver form must be completed each year, and can be found below. Spring Enrichment form must be returned by Tuesday, March 24
Crafting Club- Grades: 1-8 Cost: $30 3 - 4 pm

Are you ready to learn new crafting skills while having fun? Crafting Club is a social club
that meets weekly to learn skills, this session we will be learning how to make blankets.
Come work on your crafting skills with Mrs. Munson & Miss Devenney.
Flag Football Grades: K-8 Cost: $35 3 - 4:00 pm
Grades K-3 meet on Fridays 3/27- 5/22
Grades 4-8 meet on Tuesdays 3/31-5/26 Minimum 8 students
Join Mr. O, our gym teacher, learning the skills needed to play Flag Football along with
sportsmanship and teamwork. Our afterschool sports are a time to work on their skills
and build stronger athletes.
Little Buds and Little Flowers Girls’ Club Grades: Pk-8 Cost: $35, $20 for re-enrollment
Wednesdays 3/25-5/20 3 - 4:00 pm
Attention Girls of all grades! It is time to join our newest program at Saint John School.
The girls will be learning virtues through scripture, saints’ biographies and the Catechism
of the Catholic Church. Please join our group to deepen your Catholic faith. This price
for the Buds includes their own embroidered apron and button set as well as the
program for each student. The Flowers will receive a sash and patches with their
program book all included in the price. With Mrs. Munson and Miss Emily!
Nature and Animals with Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center- Grades: Pre-K 3, Pre-K 4, and
Kindergarten Cost: $35 3 - 3:45 pm
Monday 4/20 and 5/18 Minimum 10 students
Join the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center as they bring animals and education to
our building. We have two sessions this semester. They will include Pond Life where
students will observe different specimens from the ponds.The second session will be
Pollinators, students learn about the relationship between plants and their pollinators.
Nature and Animals with Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center- Grades: 1-5 Cost: $35
Thursday 4/30 and 5/21 3-3:45 pm Minimum 10 students
Join the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center as they bring animals and education to
our building. We have two sessions this semester. titled Alive or not, categorizing what
makes a living and nonliving things. The second session is titled Living Life Cycle, students
will explore and compare life cycles of frogs, turtles, butterflies, dragonflies and more.!
Soccer Shots- Ages: 3-8 Cost: $160 3 - 3:45 pm
Ages 3-5: Wednesdays 3/25 - 5/13
Ages 5-8: Thursdays 3/26 - 5/14
Put on by Soccer Shots: Join us on the soccer field for some fun! This will be a great
opportunity to introduce our littlest players the rules and fundamentals of the game.

Reminder: Please consider helping with these programs. In order to take place, we will need several volunteers for each class. Please indicate if you can help in the registration form. All volunteers must be safe environment trained. If you are currently not trained, but would like to help, please contact the SJS office immediately. The programs cannot take place without volunteer help. All volunteer time should be logged on Track It Forward

Schola 2025-26
Schola rehearsals are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, after school, from 3 - 4 PM in the music room. Schola is open to any students in 2nd - 8th Grade. Our choir sings at each First Friday Mass at the church, our Lessons and Carols winter concert and our Spring concert at the end of the year, as well as any special school events throughout the school year. Our Lessons and Carols Winter Concert and our Spring Concert will both be held in the Saint John School Gymnasium. This year's Schola rehearsals begin on Thursday, September 18 and will run through Thursday, June 4, 2026.
Our Music Director, Mrs. Jan Ulanowicz, will hold the rehearsals each week.
