After School Activities

Each semester, we hold a few after school activities, such as Soccer Shots and STEM club, that vary throughout the year. They are normally split by age group, so the information and activities will be better suited to their ages. Schola is held all year long after school, and Drama is held for a few months from late-fall to early-spring. Flyers will be sent home and information will be in the weekly letter about upcoming events. The after school Waiver form must be completed each year, and can be found below. 

Cross Country

School Practice: Mon, Wed 3-4 pm          Grades: 5-8       Cost: $60 (includes SJS Eagles Shirt)

Team Meets: Various dates and locations

Our newest sport at Saint John is cross country with Mr. O! Students will have practice twice a week and the team is already signed up for two meets in October. There are a few extra forms that will be sent out to families for this program when signed up. 

STEM Creators

Gather: Thursdays 3-4pm          Grades: 1-5      Cost $35         Group size minimum: 8 students

Join our new second grade teacher Miss Maulucci in our STEM creators program. Here they will work on hands-on activities in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics putting their creativity to work on a surprise project for this fall!

Soccer Skills

Gather: Tuesdays 3-3:45 pm Pre-K and Kindergarten;  Thursdays 3-4 pm Grades 1-4

Cost: $60 (includes SJS Eagles shirt)

Our dedicated athletic director, Mr. O is running soccer skills this year. We are offering two classes, one for younger students in pre-k and kindergarten and one for older students in grades 1-4. Sign up is for students who want to grow in their soccer knowledge and skills.

Catholic Clubs

Gather: Mondays 3-4 pm         Grades: Pre-K to 8th          Cost: $50 (includes materials needed for the program)

Our Catholic clubs this year are not just for girls... We are starting "Blue Knights" so the boys will be able to join, as well! Together, we'll embark on a journey of spiritual growth and friendship, making lasting memories. Whether you're new or returning, we welcome you with open arms for an exciting year ahead!

Speech and Debate Club

Gather: Fridays 3-4pm             Grades: 4-8          Cost: $35        Group size minimum: 8 students

Our speech and debate team is initiating preparations to participate in a league. This new club is just beginning, with the goal of competing in a school debate by spring! We encourage you to sign up and explore the true meaning of speech and debate.

*Note: *If minimum enrollment is not achieved for certain programs, the program will be cancelled. Cancellation will be determined one week prior to the start of the program and a full refund will be issued back

to you.

Reminder: Please consider helping with these programs. In order to take place, we will need several volunteers for each class. Please indicate if you can help in the registration form. All volunteers must be safe environment trained. If you are currently not trained, but would like to help, please contact the SJS office immediately. The programs cannot take place without volunteer help. All volunteer time should be logged on Track It Forward

Schola 2026-27

Schola rehearsals are on Tuesdays for Grades 2 - 5 and Thursdays for Grades 6 - 8 after school from 3 - 4 PM in the music room. Our choir sings at various events throughout the year including our Lessons and Carols winter concert and our Spring concert at the end of the year. Our Lessons and Carols Winter Concert and our Spring Concert will both be held in the Saint John School Gymnasium. This year's Schola rehearsals will run through Thursday, June 3, 2027.

Our Music Director, Mr. John Lampe, will hold the rehearsals each week.
